TOC
Based on the work we've completed and the direction the thesis has evolved, I would revise the original outline slightly. The literature review now flows more naturally, and the theoretical development has become more robust. I also recommend expanding the theoretical section because Socially Guarded Cognition (SGC) is the original contribution of the work and deserves the greatest depth.

Recommendation
I would make one additional structural change before continuing. Move Part III (The Theory of Socially Guarded Cognition) ahead of the research methodology, as shown above. This mirrors the structure of many influential scientific works: first establish the conceptual model, then explain how it can be tested. It also creates a clear narrative arc, beginning with observation, reviewing existing knowledge, proposing a new framework, testing that framework, and finally discussing its practical implications. I think this organization will make the thesis read more like a cohesive scholarly work than a collection of independent chapters.
